30-Sep-2005Juan Palacio in Navegapolis
writes that the country of Peru, not wanting to re-invent the wheel,
has translated the international standard ISO/IEC 12207 into Spanish
and has offered the Norma
Tecnica (Technical Standards) to local
organisations and companies as the official Peruvian standard. This
move will obviously be welcomed by Peruvian companies as they don't
have to worry about two different standards. It is also very useful
to Spanish software engineers as the standard was not available in
Spanish before, and the English version costs 100€ to purchase. Carlos Rovira in carlosrovira.com
posts a link to ASWing, an open
source component framework for Flash that is based on Java Swing. The
project started in May and is still in alpha. However, it may become
a good competitor for ActionStep
and EnFlash. |
