16-Oct-2005In the backroom,
Daniel presents his weblog, BASICAmente
and a short bio: Hi! My name is David and I have been
programming since 1982 when I started using BASIC (like many others)
on a Commodore Vic-20 that I got as a present. Afterwards came other
machines and more sophisticated and useful things like C and PERL,
which became my principle tools when I began to develop applications
professionally, together with graphic design and digital editing. Currently I own a micro-business and
work as a consultant in imaging and digital publication, developing
bespoke solutions in this field. I use REALBasic as my development
tool of choice and I write about it in my weblog, which contains
articles on my other 'vices', script languages in general, the Palm
and anything to do with pixels. Juan Palacio in Navegapolis
posts a link to the Project
Management Lexicon, a detailed study of how to translate the
terms of project management found in the PMBOK
(Project Management Body of Knowledge) into Spanish. Juanjo Navarro in más
que código posts a link to Joel Spolsky's article, Set
your priorities, that talks about the traps into which lot of
small startups can fall if they are not clear about what they intend
to develop and how they want to work with their customers. Juanjo Navarro in más
que código has created a bookmarklet for listing the
contents of all the select boxes in a HTML page. To make it work,
right-click on the link in Firefox and pick 'Bookmark this link' from
the drop-down menu. Then on a page with select boxes, select the
bookmark. A listing of the contents of the select boxes will appear
in a new window. |
