10-Oct-2005In the backroom, José Luis Capel presents his blog,
CapelBlog!! and a short bio: My name is José Luis Capel. I
am from Barcelona but I am currently living in Valencia. I work in
IT. Almost 20 years ago I attended a little course on dBaseIII and
thought, “Hey, I like this!”. Since then I have been
living and breathing computing, particularly programming in xBase. I
started with dBaseIII, then moved to Clipper (all the versions),
FiveWin (almost all the versions) and currently Xailer. I work in a
company where, among other activities, I develop management software,
specializing in selling. In my blog I write about the things that
interest me: xBase. I normally write articles about problems, ideas
and projects that may be of interest to the xBase community. Juan Palacio in Navegapolis
posts a review of Prefactoring
by Ken Pugh. Applying the principles described can reduce the amount
of time spent refactoring in a typical software development project.
