In the backroom, impares presents her web log certificándome and a bio:
My name is Esther and I was brought to Planeta Código because I am preparing for one of the Java certification examinations.
I have been living in Munich (Germany) for the last two intense years during which I learned German by necessity, the Bavarian dialect out of curiosity and most importantly to recognize a beer without looking at the label. Now I know a pils, a dark white beer, an export... but this does not prevent me from asking for a “caña” (draught lager) at home without any embarrassment.
I am from Alicante, to which I return when the German charter airlines offer cheap flights. And about my work, what can I say? That I work for the computing department of a company that makes cars, one of many in Germany, and that since I moved here I have not developed any software professionally. I am not sorry about this and if I am honest I feel that I have gained in every way.
But I continue to enjoy programming, although it is only one of my many interests. I continue to program, continue to learn and hope that this folly continues for many more years.
The web log about my adventures to obtain my certification as a java programmer is only a few days old and I don't know what will become of it after the examination. Perhaps I will continue to write about Java in general, perhaps about other certification efforts, perhaps I will take a look at Python and Ruby.
