Introduction to .NET seminar (Seminario de introducción a .NET)

Jaime Irurzun in  código escrito writes that he attended a seminar on .NET that was organized by the DotNetGroup at his university. The main language taught in the course was C# which seems to be a great hybrid of all that is best in C++ and Java. He was also impressed by the IDE, Visual Studio. The main problem he perceives is the need to install the .NET Framework on all the computers before being able to run the applications and the potential for incompatibilities when there are different versions of the Framework needed by different applications.

Bad Practice 2 (Mala práctica 2)

Javier Gutiérrez Chamorro (Guti) in  Bitácora de Guti continues his series on Bad Practices that he has found by reporting on a line of code that was 341 characters long. Source code should ideally be no longer than 80 characters, with a maximum of 140 for reasons of legibility, printing and subsequent maintenance.

Ejecutar un programa sin sistema operativo

Osca in  El arte de programar introduces a short machine code program that can be written to a floppy and which runs on starting up a PC without the need for an operating system. The program demonstrates all that is important for the operation of a PC: input interface via the keyboard, output interface via the screen, reading data from the disk, management of memory and management of external devices. All the instructions for creating and running this program are included in the article.
