New Flash detection kit

The new functionality is an express installation option from inside the player which enables detection of the end user's Flash Player version, initiates a player-based installation, and returns the user to your site to view your content.



Creation of open source software

Joserra in Najaraba.com writes that he has recently read two articles, “Open source software does not generate an income” and “Open source software and regional businesses”, both of which ask the question whether the creation of free software can generate a benefit, either in terms or an income or in terms of innovation. The situation is difficult to read in Spain where the creation of software as a product is not very common; it is difficult therefore to determine whether the open source revolution has had any impact in Spain either in terms of generating wealth or innovation.
