posts a link to Kirai.net
where Héctor García Puigcerver, a Spaniard living in
Japan, has posted pictures of USB
memory designed as sushi. The author of Retrato en
Sepia compares and contrasts the use of abstract classes and
interfaces in object orientated design. Interfaces are specifically
useful for eliminating the problems of multiple inheritance. Abstract
classes allow a design to change more easily. Carlos Rovira in carlosrovira.com
posts a link to the new version of the Flash
detection kit from Macromedia. The new functionality is an
express installation option from inside the player which enables
detection of the end user's Flash Player version, initiates
a player-based installation, and returns the user to your site to
view your content. Joserra in Najaraba.com
writes that he has recently read two articles, “Open
source software does not generate an income” and “Open
source software and regional businesses”, both of which ask
the question whether the creation of free software can generate a
benefit, either in terms or an income or in terms of innovation. The
situation is difficult to read in Spain where the creation of
software as a product is not very common; it is difficult therefore
to determine whether the open source revolution has had any impact in
Spain either in terms of generating wealth or innovation. |
