22-Aug-2005The author of Retrato en
Sepia posts a link to the patch iScroll2
that brings to old ibooks the ability to scroll in all directions
using the trackpad and to simulate the right button of the mouse.
This functionality is available in the new ibooks. The comments on
the post warn that iScroll2 consumes a lot of memory and that
sidetrack
is better, but is not free. Javier Perez in JavierPérez
gives the name Web 2.0 to the Ajax technology and shows the source
code of a function to check a nickname for uniqueness, feeding the
result back to the user without the need to submit an HTML form. He
mentions GMail and Google maps as examples of web applications
already using the technology. He also posts a link to Protopage
(free personal start page) which allows you to create a page
containing sticky notes that can be used as a bookmarks program. |
