enzo in Mono reports that the development of i18n for MonoUML is reaching its final stage. They are currently generating the .po files needed for compilation in different languages and have found that the poedit tool is very useful for this work. enzo has added a new section in the MonkeyGuide called Globalization where the details of how to implement the translations is described. impares in certificándome reports that since the end of last week it has been possible to purchase vouchers for the Sun Certified Programmer for the Java 2 Platform, Standard Edition 5.0 (CX-310-055) certification exam from the Sun web site for 150 dollars. There are still no books to prepare you for the exam, but impares provides a short list of useful resources in his article. Prometric offer the certification for 140 dollars. Since Tuesday impares has been doing the mock exams to be found in mocks.
