Sobre la simplicidad (about simplicity)

mig21 in  Yet Another Programming Weblog comments on a post by  Grady Booch titled  "On Simplicity" . Grady listed some very nice quotes, to which mig21 has added:

corrigiendo errores III (correcting mistakes III)

José Luis Sánchez  in  avemundi continues his series of learnings since the release of Cuaderno de Bitácora (version 6) and  el Puchero (version 4) last November.

error #3: Poner unos foros en la web sin integrarlos correctamente. (Putting up forums on the web without integrating them correctly). When he launched the new web site, José Luis set up a forum using  phpBB. Unfortunately when users moved from the web site to the forum, it appeared to them that they were leaving the web site and going to some other site, making them confused and giving them a poor impression. Now Jose Luis is using a forum based on  Joel on Software. This is simpler than phpBB, but is much better integrated. You can view his new forums on the company web site Alanit.

Análisis de Requerimientos (analysis of requirements)

Jorge Luis Becerril in  Ingenieria de Software,  presents a diagram (in English) of the various activities that are performed during the stage of software development called requirements analysis.

Análisis de Requerimientos, Entrevistas (analysis of requirements; interviews)

There are various ways of capturing requirements, one of which is the interview. Jorge Luis Becerril in  Ingenieria de Software gives a link to an article by  Martin Modell called The Interview And Other Data Gathering Methods.

La potencia de TakeCommand y 4NT (the power of TakeCommand and 4NT)

Javier Gutiérrez Chamorro (Guti) in  Bitácora de Guti has been using 4DOS from JP Software as an alternative to CMD.EXE for complex batch processes. JP Software have now released two new products,  Take Command and  4NT that carry on this tradition. Guti presents a little batch file that lists the contents of a project folder including the file name, line number and line text for each file.
