enzo writing in the blog Mono explains how to write and compile the class i18n in Mono.Posix and use it for internationalization of applications in Mono. Mono is an open source effort led by Novell and is the foundation for many new applications. Juanjo Navarro in más que código continues his series "Ideas that will take us nowhere" with a presentation on blogs written using sistema S5 which is a nice alternative to Microsoft Powerpoint or OpenOffice. Yet Another Programming Weblog introduces the weblog by Sam Ruby and his latest article "Continuations for Curmudgeons" . This article explains concepts like passing a variable by reference or value, continuations and closures using a variety of popular languages. The article is also referenced in Lambda the Ultimate. In the backroom José Luis Modelo presents his web log Null Pointer Exception and his bio: My name is José Luis Modelo. I have been developing applications for some year, mostly for the Java platform. I use J2EE mostly, but recently I have become interested in programming for micro devices using J2ME and its derivatives. In the little spare time that I have, I work with the association javaHispano and my hobby is the programming of Lego robots (in Java of course). Alberto Molpeceres in Y si hablamos de... asks us to have a look as his web site Linking Paths, which is still under construction, and send him comments and ideas on how to improve it. Juanjo Navarro in más que código (and web master of Planeta Código) invites programmers and developers to participate in the forums on Planeta Código. Programmer, do you feel alone? Does your family look strangely at you when you tell them that the XML parser throws up exceptions when you offer it the Atom feed? Do your friends leave you when you ask for books with strange sounding names in English for your birthday? In the forums of Planeta Código we understand and can help. |
